The machine can produce up to 54 kilos per hour of product including jellies, gums, hard candy, lollipops, toffees, functional and medicated products.

Dave Symonds, area sales manager, Baker Perkins, told ConfectioneryNews, the ServoForm Mini is a versatile machine with two hopper configurations to make centre filled or striped candy.

He said the candy is cooked, deposited into the mold, where they are handpicked off the conveyor and placed into a cooling tunnel.

“This particular type of machine is designed for niche manufacturers and start-up companies who hand-make confectionery products,” said Symonds.

“This is a way of industrializing and automating what they do.

“The machine has a sensor that will not deposit the candy if there is no mold underneath it. At the other end, there is another sensor that senses when that particular part of the circuit is full and stops automatically.”

Symonds added the molds can produce 3D shapes in an attractive form, gelatin calcium-enriched products, or flat deposited lollipops in a flower or panda shape.

“We can put any sort of shape into the mold,” he said. One of our latest products is 3D jellies in the shape of a berry.”
